1. Compare the number of  facebook users to people on the planet 200 years ago 

   There are more people on facebook than there were in the world 200 years ago.

2. Who is Jacob?  Where is he?Jacob is a young man from Uganda.

    

3. What happened to Jacob’s brother?Jacob’s brother tried to escape from bad people in Uganda so the cut his neck and killed him.

    

4. What would young Uganda children  rather do than stay on earth?They would rather die because no one is taking care of them.

    

5. What is the promise made to Jacob?That they will stop the bad guys.

    

6. Who is the LRA?  Who is the leader?  Who is the bad guy?The Lord’s Resistance Army. There leader is Joseph Kony. The LRA are the bad guys.

    

7. Why is he bad?He takes young children from their families and turns the girls into sex slaves and makes the boys murder their parents.

    

8. How many children has he stolen so far?Over 30,000

    

9. Who is number one on the war crimes list?Joseph Kony
10. 99 percent of people on Earth do not know what?They don’t know who Kony is.
11. Why did the U.S. not get involved?Because we aren’t endangered and it isn’t messing with our money
12. Explain, “Where you live should not determine if you live.”Just because you live in a certain place doesn’t mean that you should die since you are still a person.
13. How does the movement make a difference?They rebuild schools, created jobs, they made an alarm system to warn villages.
14. Why do you think politicians began to speak up?Because they want to get reelected.
15. What does Barack Obama say in October 2011?That they will send US troops to help in Uganda.
16. Why does Kony change tactics?Because he is scared about being caught by US troops.
17. In order for people to care, what must be done?They have to know who he is and what he is doing.
18. What does make him famous mean?It means to put his name is everywhere.
19. What happened in April of 2012?They put posters everywhere
20. How can the facebook world help?

1.  No, old spice stinks and the guy isn’t even that nice looking.
2.  No I’m not, I buy whatever I like.
3.  No, it’s just a whole bunch of salt.
4.  Colleges and future employers would think that I am a respectable person
5.   No, that stuff may be  old and they could have grown up as a person.
6.  I see alot of random people and a couple things about Thurston

1. What are the top social media sites used in this class? 22/26 use snapchat, 15/26 use Instagram, 13/26 Twitter, 19/26 use Youtube,14/26 use TikTok.
2. Could you live without your phone for an entire day or would you feel upset?
   1. I can because I’ve had my phone taken for periods of time.
3. Do you ever think your phone is a distraction?  Explain
   1. Yes because I’ll stop doing whatever I’m doing to be on my phone.
4. Where is your phone right this very minute?
   1. In front of me
5.   What do you use your phone for?  Is it a smartphone? (flip phones anyone?)
   1. To text, call, play games and go on social media. Yes it is a smartphone.
6.  How important are likes, views, and follows to you?
   1. They aren’t
7.   What do your parents/guardians say about your “screen” time?
   1. They say I’m on my phone too much.
8.   Could you take a break from your phone or social media?
   1. Yes
9.  Do you know all the people who are on your social media sites?
   1. Nope
10.  Respond to this video.  What do you think?  Do you know people who show a fake reality all for the good of social media?  Explain ways you have witnessed this.
    1. I feel like people shouldn’t lie on social media, they should tell the truth or nothing at all. I don’t know anybody that does.
